July 18, 2005

Del Mar, California - At NACUSAC’s 2005 Annual Business Meeting on June 25, Constance Lockwood stepped down as NACUSAC’s chairman after leading the association since 1997.  Linda Treml, then NACUSAC’s vice chairman, presented Lockwood with a plaque recognizing her courage and leadership.  “It is rare to have a volunteer willing to devote so much to an organization,” said Treml.  “Connie has always had a clear vision of what NACUSAC could do and how to get there.  She inspired us all with her vision and commitment.”  Other directors honored Lockwood’s commitment and many accomplishments on behalf of the association, followed by a standing ovation from the members in the audience.

At a subsequent reorganization meeting, Linda Treml, who serves on First Florida Credit Union’s board and auditing committee in Jacksonville, Florida, was elected NACUSAC’s new chairman.  She had held the position of NACUSAC vice chairman since 1999.
